A member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Nana Oduro Sarfo, has remarked that Kumasi Asante Kotoko, once giants of the Ghana Premier League, have become ordinary.
He pointed out that the club's recent struggles in both the league and African club competitions show that their current status is far from their glorious past.
The Chief Executive Officer of Berekum Chelsea compared the Porcupine Warriors to newly promoted teams like Young Apostles, suggesting that Kotoko no longer does anything special and relies solely on their historical achievements.
"There is nothing special about Kotoko. They are just living in past glories. They are an ordinary club like Young Apostles," he said, as shared by Oyerepa TV/FM on X.
Kotoko has faced challenges in maintaining top performance in the Ghana Premier League, failing to secure major trophies in recent seasons.
In the 2023/2024 premier league season, the club finished in sixth position with 49 points.
