Ghana's representatives in the Africa Confederation Cup, Asante Kotoko, need a clinical finisher.
This is the view of a former Kotoko Coach, Michael Osei, who is not too much enthused about Kotoko’s present attack.
Kotoko hammered Coton Sport of Cameroon to book a place in the group stage of the Africa Confederation Cup on Sunday.
Michael Osei, who watched the Kotoko-Coton Sport return game in Kumasi, insisted that Kotoko need to improve upfront.
According to him, Kotoko can possess and also create decent chances but scoring continues to be Kotoko’s bane.
“Kotoko can create golden chances but I realized that putting the ball in the back of the net was a problem.
“In this regard, Kotoko need to poach a potent striker that can score goals to boost their chances in Africa.”
Michael Osei, who was speaking on radio, lauded Coach C.K. Akonnor for leading Kotoko to the group stage.
He also said even though the group stage will not be easy, Kotoko can still make a huge impact in the competition.
“Kotoko only need to work harder and find a clinical finisher to lead them and they will make a strong impact.”
