A new date will be set for Hearts of Oak and Kotoko to face off in London when the Coronavirus pandemic is no more, organizers of the clash have revealed.

The two most decorated clubs in Ghana were set to make history in England on March 7, 2020, where they would have faced off in a titanic encounter at the Barnet Stadium.

Because of torrential rains in the weeks leading to the match, the clash had to be postponed to a later date.

Ahead of the new date which was Saturday, April 11, 2020, the Coronavirus pandemic made it impossible for the match to come on.

While many have lamented that the match could be called off entirely, Mr. Justin Addo who is the organizer of the encounter has emphasized that the match will come on.

"As we all aware due to the COVID-19, it is not possible to be playing the game as fixed for this Saturday (11 April) because now all the stadiums in the UK have been closed and there's no football going on in the UK”, he said.

Mr. Addo added, “For now we will wait till football resumes in the UK before we set a new date for it. I have paid for both teams visas etc so I expect the game to come on, there's no cause for alarm."
