Ghanaian representative of Brazilian coach Ricardso Da Rocha, Leslie Kuuku Bartels has confirmed interest from Asante Kotoko for the former Dwarfs coach.

The Ghanaian giants are in a search for a new manager after Paa Kwesi Fabin handed in his resignation letter on Thursday after seven months with the club.

Former Ebusua Dwarfs coach Ricardo Da Rocha has been the Red's prime target and his representative Kuuku Bartels confirmed contacts from Asante Kotoko.

“I represent Da Rocha. I was the one that brought him to Dwarfs. George Amoako the Kotoko CEO cannot deny he hasn’t contacted the agents of Da Rocha. He, Amoako, has spoken to the coach and if you have a current coach and you still engage talks with another then it means you don’t want your current coach ” Bartels said on Kessben FM.

“A meeting was held on Wednesday September 12 between Kotoko and the team representing Da Rocha of which I am part” Bartels revealed.

“I therefore informed Paa Kwesi of the interest of Kotoko in my client Da Rocha. I went on to show him proofs of communication that has taken place between George Amoako and my team.” Bartels told Kessben FM.

The Brazilian gaffer could be in the country in the coming days to begin negotiations with the Porcupine Warriors after a stellar campaign with Ebusua Dwarfs a season ago.

Da Rocha, a former Brazilian footballer had a stunning season with Dwarfs in the 2017, helping the crabs finish a high fourth place. However, he left amid reports of unpaid wages.
