Visiting Berekum Chelsea forced Kumasi Asante Kotoko S/C to 1-1 draw game in the eighth week Ghana Premier League (GPL) at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi, on Wednesday.

The Berekum lads demonstrated tenacity of purpose and determination throughout the match, forcing the Porcupine Warriors to vary their tactics intermittently in order to overcome their stubborn opponents, but to no avail.

Slippery Latif Salifu broke the deadlock in the 42nd minute, to put the visitors ahead as they unsettled the homers.

Kotoko came into the second half a more transformed side and came as little surprise as they fetched the equalizer five minutes into the game.

The homers brought on Jordan Opoku for Baba Mahama, while Yakubu Mohammed replaced Obed Owusu in the 59th minute and 70th minute, respectively.

Chelsea unperturbed by the incessant attacks from the Porcupine Warriors stood their grounds as they defended solidly to share points with the homers.
