Ghanaian powerhouse Kotoko have threatened to pull the plugs on their involvement in the impending FirsTrust G6 tournament over unpaid cash.

The Porcupine Warriors are demanding the arrears from the organisers, the Ghana League Clubs Association before participating in the competition.

The dethroned Ghanaian champions want to use their huge status to cause fear and panic with their intended withdrawal expected to negatively affect the tournament.

Officials say the umbrella body of the clubs must pay them some outstanding arrears for playing in a previous competition organised by GHALCA.

“We have told GHALCA that they should o through their records and check all the arrears due us and settle before we involve ourselves,” deputy Operations manager of the Club Ali Maradona is quoted by GazzettaGhana.

“The money they owed us has to be cleared first, then we sit and negotiate with them for the upcoming one otherwise we cannot participate in the tournament, and that we have made it clear to them."

Kotoko have drawn perennial rivals Ashantigold as well as Berekum Chelsea in group B.
