Kotoko to extend coach Dramani’s contract

Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have started talks with their coach Mas-ud Didi Dramani over the possibility of extending his expiring contract.

The board of the Porcupine Warriors has initiated the move to extend the contract even though they have not placed a firm offer on the table for the title-winning coach.

Speculation is rife that Dramani is being courted by their arch rival Hearts of Oak who are likely to sack their underperforming coach Mohammed Polo. Dramani says he has commenced talks with the leadership of Kotoko over a proposal to extend the contract.

“I have a contract with the club and the contract has not ended. I have had preliminary talks with the managers and it’s the club that has to come out with a proposal and then I can come out but for now, we are yet to conclude talks. We are still talking,” Coach Dramani told Power FM in Accra.

Dramani’s contract with Kotoko expires in June and even though they have failed to make an impact in Africa they are set to win their second title in a row in his two years in charge.
