Ghana Premier League giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko is on the verge of losing star Burkinabe attacker Sogne Yacouba to South African side Lamontville Golden Arrows.

This development could serve an intriguing climax to a dramatic soap opera in the football transfer world.

Yacouba is nearing the end of his Kotoko spell with his contract set to expire next month. After several months of deadlock in relation to his contract situation at the Porcupine Warriors, media reports weeks ago indicated that he had agreed to an extension albeit it has not been officially confirmed.

However there is a latest development and this could cause a stir in the camp of Kotoko.

Yacouba’s representative Ahmed Nuno has revealed to South African football portal Soccer Laduma that they have recently received a concrete offer from Golden Arrows and that they are studying it. He further disclosed they have already had offers from Azam FC and Simba FC (both from Tanzania) but they deemed them as not good enough.

Yacouba is likely to join Golden Arrows for free meaning Kotoko risk losing one of their prized assets for nothing.

FMIG shall continue to monitor developments and share with our readers subsequently.
