Ahead of their CAF Champions League game against Kano pillars on August 10, Asante Kotoko will pay a courtesy call to the Patron of the club Otumfuo Osei Tutu II on Sunday at the Manhyia Palace before their departure to Accra to continue their preparation.

Deputy Greater Accra Representative, Nana Kwame Dankwah confirmed the pre-departure meeting to Kotoko Express App. He said the call is to bid the Life Patron farewell and to also seek his blessings.

Coach Kjetil Zachariassen’s side will play Kano Pillars in the first leg tie of the CAF Champions League preliminary round on Saturday.

The Porcupine Warriors will depart for Accra on Monday and will head to Nigeria on Thursday.

Management is convinced that, getting the blessings of the Life Patron before the trip would encourage the Porcupines.

“We leave for Accra on Monday ahead of the trip to Nigeria on Thursday but we will go to the Asantehene on Sunday to say goodbye to him and also seek his blessings,” Nana Kwame Dankwah told Kotoko Express App
