Kotoko tops 2005 Fair Play Chart

Accra, Jan 5, GNA - Kumasi Asante Kotoko, the 2005 GT Premier League Champions ranked number one on the Fair Play Chart of the Professional League Board (PLB) after the soccer season last year. The Porcupine Warriors as at the close of the 30th Week League matches received a total of 41 yellow cards and no red card to make them the cleanest side of the season.

Relegation threatened Okwawu United placed second with 39 yellow cards and one red card, Real Tamale United (RTU) picked a total of 41 yellow cards and a red card to win the third place slot with Kpando Heart of Lions following suit with 47 yellow cards and a red card. Tema Real Sportive, Kade Hotspurs and Obuasi Ashgold had 54, 58 and 60 yellow cards each with two red cards each to place at the fifth, sixth and seventh positions respectively.

Alhaji Abdul Karim Gruzah's King Faisal are eighth on the Chart with 33 yellow cards and four red cards.

Tano Bofoakwa accumulated 44 yellow cards without a red card for the ninth position, while Feyenoord, Accra Hearts of Oak, Liberty Professionals and Berekum Arsenals picked 34, 44, 52 and 56 yellow cards with a red card each to place tenth, 11th, 12th and 13th in that order. Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs had 45 yellow cards and two red cards for the 14th position with Power placing 15th with 46 yellow cards and seven red cards while Sekondi Hasaacas picked the bottom position after securing 40 yellow cards and two straight red cards.
