Kotoko unbeaten run faces uphill test

The Ghana election hangover is out of the way now as the Glo Premier League returns this weekend after a two-week break.

Match-day-11 of the campaign gets underway on Saturday with just one fixture at the Baba Yara Stadium between Real Tamale United and Berekum Chelsea.

RTU will need to prove that the break afforded them some time to reflect on their miserable start which has left them still chasing a first win after ten rounds of matches.

Sitting bottom with four points from a possible 30, RTU, still serving home suspension will use the Baba Yara Stadium in their meeting with Chelsea, who are seeking to jump top by the time the other matches are played the next day.

Leaders Medeama will have their title credentials tested when they travel to the Agyemang Badu Park to face Aduana Stars on Sunday.

Asante Kotoko's title defence has suffered from a string of draws, seven in total. The Porcupine Warriors, still unbeaten welcome Wa All Stars to the Baba Yara Stadium.

Though, Kotoko are unbeaten under new boss Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, they are yet to hit their stride in the campaign.

In-form Ebusua Dwarfs travel to the Carl Reindorf Park to clash with Liberty Professionals.

At the Kpando Park, Heart of Lions will attempt to record a giant killing when Hearts of Oak arrives for their meeting.

Fresh from receiving his debut call-up into the Black Stars squad for the pre-Nations Cup training camp, the league's top scorer, Yahaya Mohammed will lead Amidaus Professionals in their battle for three points against New Edubiase at the Tema Stadium.

AshantiGold will be looking to carry on from where they left off when they return to the Len Clay Stadium to play Tema Youth. The Miners defeated Hearts of Oak in their last league game but a meeting against the side from Tema might prove too difficult for the Obuasi side.

Berekum Arsenals will wrap up the weekend's fixtures with a home game against King Faisal at the Golden City Park.
