Defected Kumasi Asante Kotoko supporter, Joseph Langabell has blamed the sides defeat on the usage of wrong boots by the players during the Ghana premier league match against WAFA.

WAFA won the opening game of the premier league against Kotoko at the Sogakope not surprising though but was tipped to fall against the Porcupine Warriors who have been tipped as the bookmakers favourite to reclaim the trophy they lost to regional rivals, Obuasi Ashantigold.
Kotoko trained at the Tema AstroTurf stadium to familiarise the players to the artificial turf before enrouting to Sogakope for the game but Langabell known for his affiliation with the senior national team, the Black Stars and recently declared his love for Kotoko after the game reviewed the main reason behind the defeat during an interview with sportscrusader.com

He said, “Kotoko lost at WAFA because the club’s preparations to the game was insufficient as the team went into the game with boots meant for grass pitch and not an AstroTurf surface as is at Sigakope.”

“After the game the boots of the Kotoko players had been destroyed by the hot playing surface,” he added.

Kotoko’s next game against regional rivals, Ashgold has been postponed due the ‘Aboakese’ lads commitment to CAF club competition, the Champions league.
