Ghana League Clubs Association chairman Kudjoe Fianoo has given the strongest indication that he could contest for the Ghana FA presidency in 2019.

Fianoo, who is the Chief Executive of Ghana Premier League side Ashantigold, could throw his hat into the ring to succeed Kwesi Nyantakyi.

“Let’s just hope for life, I have been receiving calls whether I will contest for it but I always keep saying time will tell,” he told Happy FM.

“It might happen that I could stop football before that time, It might happen that I could be in a different position before that time.

“I can’t tell for now so let’s just hope that we are will be able to see 2019.

“From now to 2019 is quite a long time and so let’s just wait and see what will happen. If it happens that I should contest, why not?”

A number of names have popped up as possible candidates for the Ghana FA presidential race with Dreams FC chief Kurt Okraku largely regarded as favourites to win the race.

Ghana FA vice-president George Afriyie is in the reckoning as well as day-dreamer' Nana Yaw Amponsah.

Fred Pappoe, a former Ghana Football Association vice-president, is the only person to declare his intention to run in 2019.

Nyantakyi is expected to end his 14-year tenure as Ghana FA boss in the next two years.
