The Black Stars of Ghana will host the Central African Republic (CAR) on matchday 4 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on Monday, June 10, 2024.
This will be their second meeting within a year, with their last encounter dating back to September 2023 during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifies.
In the previous meeting, Ghana came from a goal down to beat CAR 2-1 in an exciting contest.
Louis Mafouta put the visitors in front in the 25th minute after skillfully going past goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi before slotting the ball in with his weaker foot.
The Black Stars responded on the stroke of halftime through talisman Mohammed Kudus, who equalized with a stunning free kick from the edge of the box.
The game remained level for the majority of the second half until Ghana secured the win in the final 10 minutes through Olympique Lyon winger Ernest Nuamah.
The Right to Dream Academy graduate tapped in from close range, connecting with Antoine Semenyo's low cross to hand Ghana all three points.
The win propelled Ghana to the top of the AFCON qualifying group with 12 points.
The two sides met yet again at the same venue, but this time in a different qualifying series, vying for a spot in the biggest international football showpiece.
The match is scheduled for a 19:00 GMT kickoff at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
