Kuffour To Join Inter or Juve

Bayer Munich stopper Samuel Kuffour could be set for a summer move to Inter says his agent.

"Kuffour?s contract with Bayern expires on 30 June 2005 and there are no negotiations regarding an extension," Oscar Damiani told the Guerin Sportivo magazine.

"Inter have an excellent opportunity to sign Kuffour, a player who could resolve their defensive problems.

"The Nerazzurri like my client and things could happen in the near future, especially as he will soon get EU status."

The Ghanaian international has been associated with a switch to Italy for some time after impressing in Germany.

However, Inter could face competition from Juventus given that boss Fabio Capello tried to sign him on a number of occasions while at Roma.

Kuffour, a central defender, has won numerous honours with Bayern since he joined the club back in 1994.

Kuffour, now 28, practically spent his entire career at Bayern, with which he won the Champions League in the 2001 season.
In the past few seasons a series of injuries coupled with a general drop of form have deteriorated Kuffour?s relationship with club.
