Accra Hearts of Oak striker, Emmanuel Osei Kuffour left the country Wednesday afternoon for Iran to join the club?s former coach, Ernst Middendorp.
The player joins the Iranian club on a two-month loan deal leading to a permanent contract if he impresses during his stay.
Osei Kuffour led from the front as Accra Hearts of Oak romped to their first ever African champions league and Super Cup trophies in 2000 and 2001 and also played a key role in the club?s recent success in the Confederation cup.
The former Black Stars captain now joins two other Ghanaian players ? King Faisal?s Godwin Ablordey and goalkeeper Osei Boateng of Asante Kotoko both signed on by Ernst Middendorp for his club.
