New Edubiase United bankroller Abdul Salam Yakubu has argued that he is far ahead of terms of ranking to ascend the Ghana Football Association’s presidency throne ahead of Dreams FC director Kurt E.S Okraku.
Yakubu who has openly declared his support behind George Afriyie to succeed Kwesi Nyantakyi in 2019 believes Okraku can’t be a match to his candidate since he is even better than him.
“Kurt Okraku has not reached the level of becoming the president of Ghana Football Association,” Yakubu told Light FM.
“I am even ahead of him in succeeding Kwesi Nyantakyi as the president so he should stop bragging on various radio stations and television stations that it is his time to be the president.
“How can he become the football president when some people around are far knowledgeable than him in terms of football issues,” he added.
AshesGyamera revealed this week that Afriyie went to Brong Ahafo region to meet some delegates ahead of the elections in 2019 since Nyantakyi revealed that he won’t seek another term in office.
Okraku’s Dreams FC was entangled in criminalities and fraud last season, after Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) ruled that they forged the name of Cudjoe Mensah and registered him as Daniel Gozar. The decision saw Dreams demoted to the second-tier with Tema Youth replacing them and the player banned one year.
