Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku has strongly denied allegations of influencing referees, dismissing the claims as "completely false" during a press conference in Sunyani.

Okraku reaffirmed his administration's commitment to the development of Ghanaian football, stating, "The claim that the GFA or myself control or have interest in some referees is completely false and must be disregarded. It's just a creation of a non-existent theory."

These denials come amid ongoing discussions about the integrity of football in Ghana.

Despite the controversy, Okraku remains focused on advancing the sport, particularly by enhancing the visibility of the national Division One League.

He revealed plans to secure television coverage for the league as part of a broader strategy to boost its commercial appeal and support grassroots development.

“The vision of the Executive Council of the GFA is to put the National Division One League on TV. We are working extremely hard towards achieving that,” Okraku emphasized during his address on Friday.
