Newly elected Executive Committee member of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Edwin Simon Okraku has revealed that he will welcome the vice presidential role of the federation if he is considered.

The ambitious administrator, who is also the vice chairman of the MTN FA cup committee, is enjoying positive review from the Ghanaian populace for his efforts in development of football in the last four years and many football fans have tipped him to be appointed the next vice president of the GFA.

The astute football administrator has since made his intentions clear to take up the mantle if he is considered by the President of the federation to deputize him.

The Ghana FA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, in consultation with the emergency committee of the Ghana FA has the mandate to appoint the vice president of the federation.

Incumbent FA Vice President Fred Crentsil lost his seat on the executive committee of the FA during the recent election organized at the FA’s headquarters.

The position has since become vacant since Fred Crentsil will not be available on the Ex. Co for the next four years.

When asked whether he is interested in the role of the vice chairman of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku hastily admitted that if the opportunity comes he will welcome it.

“I am blessed to be offered the opportunity by the delegates to serve on the Ex. Co. Any other opportunity that comes up is a bonus,” Kurt Okraku said in an interview with the Graphic Sports.

The rising football administrator secured a landslide thirty five (35) votes with J.F Mensah and Wilfred Osei following with twenty seven (27) votes apiece relegating the GFA Vice President to the background during the elections.
