Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has suffered yet another injury setback which will keep him out of action for a month.

The 27-year-old was not named in Juventus’ 22-man squad for their Serie-A clash against Fiorentina on Sunday to spark inquests into his fitness.

It thus emerged that the former Udinese man will now require a month on the sidelines to deal with a fresh muscle problem.

Asamoah has endured a stop-start season this term having put the worst – a knee injury – behind him.

He has struggled to play back-to-back games for Juventus with his health constantly failing him.

Asamoah last featured for Juventus on December 4 in a Serie-A match win over Lazio.

He did not make the trip with the side to Seville for the Champions League game as he is not registered for the competition.

His work back in Turin to build up his fitness has not gone according to plan as he suffers a recurrence of a troublesome muscle problem.
