After rejecting Manchester United to sign for Serie A champions Juventus, Kwadwo Asamoah is not resting on his oars at all.
Determined to prove he is worth every bit Lira the Old Lady spent to acquire him from Udinese, the Ghana playmaker has began his Juve career in swashbuckling fashion and was outstanding again as the champions walloped his old club 4-1 on their own Friuli turf this past weekend.
The game against Udinese followed a string of excellent performances by the former Liberty Professional star. The kind of performances that have left FIFA agent Oliver Arthur who is mostly based in Italy in awe.
“Kwadwo Asamoah is the biggest star in the Italian league and he continues to do so well and live up to the hype. He plays brilliantly every time.
“His transfer to Juventus is big news in Italy, it’s like when Michael Essien transferred from Lyon to Chelsea, that is how big Kwadwo Asamoah is in Italy. “He is the biggest talking point in Italy but he keeps working harder and will only get better,” Oliver Arthur said on Joy FM.
He continued: “Many people in Ghana may be surprised because maybe you didn’t have the chance to see him in pre-season but they played many friendly matches and he was the most impressive player for Juve.
“Then in the Super Cup against Napoli too he was the best player not even taking into account that he scored. Then against Parma too, he was man of the match. He is doing very well and they are all mentioning his name.”
The astute FIFA agent is also delighted because Asamoah’s continued good performance also opens the way for more talents from Ghana to Italian clubs.
“That way, it makes our work easy. Once you mention a player to a club and they know he is coming from Ghana, they are interested at once because they know they could be acquiring the next Kwadwo Asamoah,” Oliver Arthur concluded.
