Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed the return of Kwadwo Asamoah to full fitness but admits the Ghana midfielder needs to be eased into competitive action gradually.
Asamoah has endured a torrid spell with injuries since going under the knife last year to fix a knee problem.
Reportes sufficed earlier this week suggesting the Ghana international has suffered yet another setback on his road to full recovery and will need up to a month to return to the first team.
But the 27-year-old in a recent interview debunked these reports, insisting he has been training very well with the rest .
His manager Massimiliano Allegri in giving an update on the injury on Tuesday confirmed the full fitness of Asamoah but adds he needs more time to return to regular competitive action.
“Lemina’s gone for checks in Barcelona, Pereyra will be back in the new year, Asamoah needs to be eased back gradually,”
Allegri told reporters ahead of Juventus’ Coppa Italia clash against Torino. Asamoah is thus likely to be included in the Juventus squad for Wednesday’s cup clash against their cross-town rivals.
