Kwadwo Asamoah returns in two weeks

Juventus midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah is expected on the field in two weeks, an official statement from the Serie A club said.

The 26-year-old had a knee surgery late last year and missed the Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.

The Bianconeri say doctors have cleared the versatile player to start light training in a fortnight.

“Kwadwo Asamoah… returned to Barcelona yesterday for a check-up following his knee surgery in December,” the statement said.

It added: “Dr. Ramon Cugat, who performed the operation, said he was extremely satisfied with the progress made by the midfielder and gave him the green light to start running again within the next two weeks.

“Further tests will be conducted in the next month to ascertain his exact return date.”
