Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu says he is worried by the persistent injury woes of his Ghana teammate Kwadwo Asamoah.
Asamoah, 27, has rarely played for Juventus since undergoing surgery to fix a knee problem over a year ago.
The former Udinese midfielder during this period has had to battle complications from the surgery and fresh muscle problems.
These factors have combined to restrict Asamoah to just 10 Serie-A appearances for Juventus in over a year.
It has also seen him miss a chunk of games for the Black Stars where he is yet to play under coach Avram Grant - especially in Ghana’s fine run at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
Agyemang-Badu admits the persistent recurrence of injuries to his former Udinese teammate bothers him.
“I am also very concerned by the injury situation of Kwadwo Asamoah,” Badu said.
“He was the one who received me when I first came to Italy so I am also a beneficiary of the person he is.
“I know how it feels to be injured. I picked up a knock and couldn’t play the last game for Udinese and even that it wasn’t easy.
“But I know he is a very strong guy and will bounce back strongly.
“He is a strong lad and will come back strongly.”
Agyemang-Badu plays alongside Kwadwo Asamoah at Udinese until the latter’s departure to Juventus in 2012.
