Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has undergone successful meniscectomy surgery on his right knee after picking up the injury on Saturday evening.
Professor Cugat in Barcelona conducted the operation in the presence of Juventus club doctor Claudio Rigo.
Asamoah will begin his rehabilitation programme immediately, and the timeframe for his return to action remains the same as originally estimated, namely around 45 days.
He’s expected to miss Ghana’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers following a long absence from national team duty.
Asamoah has battled injuries over the past two seasons but had made a bright start this season featuring in the majority of matches for the Old Lady.
