Emmanuel Omari Danso claimed another win last Friday to improve his unbeaten record to 10 wins in 10 fights, and immediately demanded tougher fights against tougher opponents. Danso, famously nicknamed Kwahu Tyson maintained his 100% knockout record when his opponent Nano Muhammed retired in the 5th round of their Light Heavyweight bout at the Prisons Canteen in Accra last Friday.
“It wasn’t the tough fight I expected but I’m happy with the victory and I want to continue winning my fights like that. I want to continue knocking people out because I’m like the original Mike Tyson.
“But I want tough opponents, those who can give me bigger challenges. I’m very confident I will be a world champion but that’s what can help me realize it,” Danso told ALL SPORTS moments after the fight.
Supporting the boxer’s belief is his trainer Ofori Asare who is satisfied with the progress of the boxer who turned professional only last year, but is preaching caution.
“He punches very hard, very heavy punches so it forces opponents to give up early. We are still preparing him, he is still learning, he needs a lot of time to get to the top. But he has the quality to get there,” Coach Asare told us.
The boxer is also appealing to his fans especially natives of Kwahu to get behind him and attend his fights. “My fans should always come and watch my fights. I want more support so that I will also make them happy,” Kwahu Tyson declared.
