Ghana goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey is likely to leave Norwegian side Stromsgodset for an adventure in Sweden after failing to reach an agreement over his expiring contract.
This comes after their latest negotiation, the fourth in two months, over his expiring contract ended without an agreement.
Three top Swedish sides are reported to be monitoring the situation with the captain of the Norwegian champions to sign him if he decides not to extend his contract.
Kwarasey’s contract with the club expires at the end of August which means he will leave the club as a free agent.
Stromsgodset are keen on keeping Kwarasey but their financial terms fall far below what the Ghana goalkeeper expects, having improved his status with international football with the Black Stars.
“If we reach an agreement, I continue, but if not I may have to try something new,” Kwarasey told Norwegian television station TV2.
Kwarasey will be unable to play for any future side in the Champions League this season because he has already played for Stromsgodset in the competition.
