Al-Khartoum coach, James Kwasi Appiah has out of “respect” informed his club of a possible departure as he braces himself for a return to the Black Stars job, starrsportsgh.com sources in Sudan have confirmed.

As at Wednesday, the gaffer was uncertain of his interview schedule due to an assignment he has over the weekend with Khartoum set to play Al-Hilal Kadougli in the Sudanese league.

Should Appiah fail to land in Accra this weekend, he could have his interview early next week or via skype.

Former France international Willy Sagnol will land in the country today ahead of his interview on Friday.

Though starrsportsgh.com is yet to confirm, Cameroon boss Hugo Broos is said to be the other coach in contention to be named Avram Grant’s successor.

A new coach for the Black Stars is expected to be named early April.

The job became available after Avram Grant left his role after two years in charge of the team. He led Ghana to the AFCON final in 2015 and a fourth place finish at the 2017 edition of the tournament.
