Former Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah has arrived in the country to undergo an interview on Friday (today) to be the next Black Stars coach as he attempts to make a comeback.
Appiah, who is the overwhelming favourite to land the job, arrived in the country secretly to face the the six-man panel searching for the coach.
The four-time African champions are looking to name a new coach in the coming days following the departure of Israeli Avram Grant last month.
There is public clamour for a native to be handed the job, amid speculations and huge support for the former Ghana coach Appiah to seal a comeback.
Appiah now handles Sudanese top-flight side Al Khartoum SC and was voted as the best coach in the country last year.
The Ghanaian Football public have been calling for the return of Kwesi Appiah since the departure of Israeli Coach Avram Grant who failed to meet his task to win the Africa Cup of Nations with the Black Stars.
Appiah made history as the first Black Coach to qualify the Black Stars to a FIFA World Cup when he led to team to the competition in Brazil 2014.
