Former Ghana Coach Kwesi Appiah remains reserved in a possible return as head Coach of the Black Stars.

Appiah has hogged the headlines in both Sudan and Ghana after winning the Coach of the season award in the North African country (Sudan).

The former Ghanaian international is currently the head coach of Sudanese Premier League side Al Khartoum Waatani after leaving his post as head coach of the Black Stars.

Many has called for the former Kotoko defender to be re-appointed as the technical head of the Black Stars team ahead of the 2017 Cup of Nations and 2018 World Cup qualifiers following Grant’s looming departure.

The Ghanaian tactician in an interview with Ghana Sports Newspaper refused to state whether or not he will return to head his country.

“I can’t, for now my focus is on my team, I just want to focus on my Club, we are doing well in the Sudanese League and I want to help them,” he said.

“Me going here or there is not important to me now. I just hope to have a good season.”

Kwesi Appiah became the first indigenous Coach to qualify the Black Stars to a FIFA World Cup.
