AFC Wimbledon striker, Kwesi Appiah has reiterated he is "honoured" to be back to the Black Stars after being out of the team for four years.
The 28-year-old has been included in coach Kwesi Appiah’s 24-man squad for the final Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya in Accra on March 23.
Appiah was invited into the team by former Ghana coach Avram Grant for the 2015 Afcon, where he excelled at the tournament after making four appearances and scoring a goal as Ghana finished second.
However, the former Crystal Palace forward has since then been overlooked largely due to recurring injuries but Kwasi Appiah has handed his invitation to justify his form against Kenya as he prepares to name a fearsome team capable of winning the 2019 AFCON in Egypt in June this year.
Honoured to receive the call up! ???????????????? #Blackstars “If god is for us, who can be against us” Romans 8:31. #Blessed #Afcon2019 pic.twitter.com/9MKQKvnLBF
