Kwesi Appiah is a lucky coach - Klutse

1978 African Cup of Nations Winner Willie Klutse says current Black Stars coach James Kwesi Appiah is lucky to have players “ready to die for the team.”

He says that alone does 50% of the work for a technical handler. Speaking to Ghana Sports in an interview, the former Black Stars captain noted that the current squad is replete with youthful exuberance combined with determination and that could win Ghana the trophy.

‘Everybody wants to make a name for himself. See even the friendly matches we played. After scoring three and four the players wanted to score more,” he added.

Willie Klutse also indicated that the midfield made up of Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, Kwadwo Asamoah and Anthony Annan, will make it difficult for any team to win balls at the Black Stars’ expense in the midfield. He was hopeful the Black Stars will win the trophy.
