Kwesi Nyantakyi - Best GFA Boss Ever

Following the remarkable feats he has chalked since assuming office, soccer fans in the Ashanti regional capital of Kumasi are pressurizing current Ghana Football Association (GFA) boss Kwesi Nyantakyi to seek re-election when his tenure expires.

Soccer fans that called into Kessben FM on Thursday morning unanimously congratulated Mr. Nyantakyi for his professional leadership roles which had impacted positively on Ghana soccer within a short space of time.

The elated soccer fans thus admonished the GFA boss to close his eyes to the activities of detractors who evidently do not have the interest of Ghana soccer at heart.

The soccer fans, especially Appiah Stadium, a staunch Kotoko fan, warned Mr. Nyantakyi not to even consider vacating the GFA seat when his time expires, emphasising, “Apart from you nobody can lead the GFA to prosperity!”

During Mr. Nyantakyi’s term, Ghana which had for ages tried in vain to qualify for the FIFA World Cup, finally made an appearance at the Mundial in 2006 and have qualified again for the 2010 version taking place in South Africa.

Also, the junior national teams who had lost their dominance in world football for sometime now, have instantly risen from their deep slumber and started making waves once again.

No wonder, a 10-man Black Satellites team was able to beat almighty Brazil in Egypt last year, to become the first African team to win the World Youth Championship.Again, the Ghana league has been enjoying lucrative sponsorship packages, not to mention Mr. Nyantakyi’s resolve to help raise the standards in the lower divisions, notably colts soccer.
