President of the Ghana Football Association and member of the FIFA Council Kwesi Nyantakyi visited his father's home town Ejisu on Saturday to fraternise with his fun club following his re-election onto the high office in football.
Nyantakyi who was voted as a member of the FIFA Council in September last year was re-elected on Thursday at the CAF General Assembly in Addis Ababa, beating his opponent Leodegar Tenga of Tanzania with a 13-vote margin.
The affable and admirable legal practitioner marched straight to his father's village to show appreciation to the elders in the community as well as his fun club for supporting him when he threw himself into the ring for the position.
He is expected to hold similar visits around the country in the coming days to thank various groups, individuals and organisations for their support and prayers during the period of the elections.
He will be in office as a FIFA Council member for a four year period and stand re-election if he wants to hold on to the position.
