President of Sports Writers Association of Ghana [SWAG], Kwabena Yeboah has expressed optimism that Kwesi Nyantakyi will seek for a fourth term in office in 2019 as the president of the Ghana Football Association.
The Wa All Stars CEO has been on record to have said that he will not seek re-election in 2019 when his term in ends in 2019 after assuming office in December 2005.
But after George Afriyie declared his intention to contest for the Ghana FA top post in 2019, some members of the Executive Committee of the Ghana FA descended heavily on him and described him as a traitor.
However, most members of the EXCO have made an open declaration that they will force the CAF 1st vice president to seek for a fourth term in office.
And the ace broadcaster is adamant Mr Nyantakyi will declare his intention to seek re-election in 2019.
"Kwesi Nyantakyi have said he will not seek re-election in without anybody forcing him to do that but after the George Afriyie declared his ambitions to contest in 2019 it was obvious that he [Kwesi Nyantakyi] will seek re-election," he told Asempa FM.
"The reason why he has not declared to contest in 2019 is that he feels shy of doing because he has previously said he will contest in 2019 but with how things are unfolding, I can confidently tell you that he will seek re-election," he added.
