Swiss-born Ghanaian defender Gregory Kwesi Wuthrich toppled Black Stars central defender Kasim Adams Nuhu to start in central defence as Young Boys posted a 2-1 win over Albanian side Skenderbeu on Thursday.

Wuthrich, 23, has enjoyed limited game time this season in the Super League and the Europa League competition.

But, his performance in the reverse fixture against the Albanians in which Young Boys earned a draw in the away fixture enticed the coach to hand him a starting role over Nuhu who has enjoyed regular playing minutes in both domestic and European competitions.

Wuthrich will be hoping to build on his performance in the Europa League and earn more playing minutes in the Super League where he has just 123 minutes to his name.

He was born to Ghanaian father and a Swiss mother but is yet to represent either the Swiss national team or the Ghanaian national team.
