Accra Hearts of Oak have locked horns with Heart of Lions in the 2024 Gbese Mantse Homowo Peace Charity Cup match at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The 2023 edition of the cup match between Hearts of Oak and Accra Great Olympics was called off, hence, the organizers are ensuring that the 2024 match goes ahead as planned.

The game is to honour the Homowo festival celebration while promoting peace ahead of the general election in December 2024.

It also serves as a pre-season friendly for both clubs as they prepare for the upcoming 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League season.

Hearts of Oak began their pre-season campaign with a 3-3 all-draw against Bechem and will look forward to beating the Lions for their first pre-season win.
