Black Stars head coach Otto Addo is set to name his squad for Ghana's upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger.

The squad list will be announced during a press briefing today, August 29, 2024, at the Ghana Football Association secretariat.

Reports in the local media indicate that Majeed Ashimeru, Baba Rahman, and Inaki Williams are all set to return to the squad after missing the previous call-ups.

The reports also suggest that key players including Salis Samed, Andre Ayew, and Daniel Amartey could be left out on account of being inactive. Samed has been demoted to RC Lens' B team while Ayew and Amartey are clubless.

Other misses will be Kamaldeen Sulemana, Ernest Nuamah, and Forson Amankwah who have been ruled out due to injury.

Some regular names expected to be named on the list are Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Kudus, Fatawu Issahaku, Antoine Semenyo, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Alexander Djiku, Mohammed Salisu, Thomas Partey, and a few others.

The Black Stars will host Angola in Kumasi on September 5, 2024, before visiting Niger on September 9.
