Renowned football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that footballer Lamine Yamal's father, Mounir Nasraoui, is recovering well after being stabbed.

Romano indicated that although there were initial concerns about Nasraoui's health, the situation is now under control as medical professionals have attended to him.

He reassured the public not to worry, stating that Nasraoui is out of danger based on information from the victim’s camp.

“Lamine Yamal’s father Mounir is out of danger. Situation under control after being stabbed in a parking lot on Wednesday,” Fabrizio Romano said on his X page on August 15, 2024.

Mounir Nasraoui was reportedly stabbed multiple times in a car park near Barcelona and rushed to the hospital on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.

According to La Vanguardia, Nasraoui, 36, was attacked in a car park in the Spanish town of Mataro, up the coast from Barcelona, on Wednesday evening. He was left in a serious condition and required immediate medical attention, although he is now believed to be stable.

Local sources confirmed that the altercation began as a fight in the car park before escalating.

Following the stabbing, emergency services were called, and Nasraoui was taken to the nearby Can Ruti hospital. The hospital, located about six miles from Barcelona and midway between the city and Mataro, provided immediate care for Nasraoui.

Despite conflicting reports about his discharge, Mundo Deportivo claims he remains at the medical facility under observation.

Police in Mataro have launched an investigation into the assault, with MD reporting that three arrests have already been made. It is believed that the stabbing may have resulted from an earlier altercation, though the exact reasons remain unclear.

Later on Wednesday evening, Yamal shared a photo of himself with his father on social media, accompanied by several heart emojis. However, he later deleted the post.
