And Education Excellence Centre To Be Built In Brong Ahafo Region.
Further to discussions and appealed made to the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister to help them acquired land to establish Ultra Modern Sports and Educational Excellence Centre when the Directors of Sillsport Group-UK (Trevor Inch and Neil Sillet) called on him at his offices last month, The Brong Ahafor Regional Co-ordinating Council and the Sunyani West District Assembly in consultation with Nanamom from Odomase No.1 Traditional Council-Sunyani have released One Hundred Acres of Land at Odomase-Sunyani to the SILLSPORT GROUP for their project.
According to the SILLSPORT GROUP Director of Operations in Africa, Christopher Antoh Forsythe, The Group are working hard to begin the construction of the biggest sports and educational excellence centre in Africa and the site lay out have already been done by Bluelime Project Ltd based in the United Kingdom. They have also started work on the 3D image drawings for the project. The project will be done in four phases and when completed it will include, Football (Artificial and Natural Pitches),Hockey (Artificial and Natural Pitches),Basketball (indoor and Outdoor), Cricket (indoor and outdoor), Rugby, Tennis(indoor and outdoor), Classrooms, ITC Centre, Assembly Hall, Chapel, Play areas, Reception and Administration Block, Dormitories, Recreational areas, Kitchens and Canteen, laundrette, Accommodations for VIP guests and visiting national teams, Car and Coach parking, Physiotherapy/medical and rehabilitation facilities and separate Sports Stadium with full professional security for the area.
Nananom on behalf of the Brong Ahafo Regional Co-ordinating Council and The Sunyani West District Assembly thanked the SILLSPORT GROUP for their laudable initiative and also for choosing Odomase as the location. Mr Forsythe also took the opportunity to thank Nananom for releasing the land for the project and said when the project is completed; it will be one of its kinds in Africa and will be opened to all. He also said though the group intended constructing three such centres in Africa, Asia and South America, he convinced them the need to build the first one in Ghana not forgetting his roots and the Directors were overwhelmed with the reception they received from all stakeholders during their visit.
