Asante Kotoko squad will be boosted ahead of the upcoming season after crocked Daniel Larbi Koomson nears full fitness.

Larbi Koomson has been on the sidelines for over a year after he sustained a career-threatening knee injury at the club’s training ground prior to last season’s league.

However, ahead of the start of the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League, the 25-year old attacking midfielder has started light training ahead of the season.

“Larbi has started training which is jogging and slow runs with Kotoko but we don’t want to rush him. We want to introduce him to our training sessions slowly to avoid any setbacks in his recovery again,” said Kotoko Team Dr Kwaku Boateng.

Larbi Koomson joined the Kumasi-based club two seasons ago after his contract expired at the Medeama SC.
