Ghana**’s super-lightweight boxing contender Emmanuel Lartei Lartey alias Bukom Jah can’t wait to begin his training and gym assessment in the USA later this week.*

The former captain of Ghana’s amateur boxing team flies out of the country this Wednesday to the United States in the company of his trainer Emmanuel Adjetey Laryea for a two-week training and gym assessment at the John’s Gym in the Bronx, New York.
Lartei, also the former National and African Super-Lightweight champion is keen on the trip weighing the opportunity as once in a lifetime. He has told SportsInGhana.com in Accra of what the chance to train in America offers and the reason why he is grabbing the opportunity with both fists.
“I hope all my dreams of becoming a world champion will come true and I will achieve my dreams when I get there. I am ready and I wish I’m there even right now,” a clearly enthusiastic Lartei said.
The trip is upon the invitation of Golden Punch Promotions who are promising to deliver a bout with either of IBF champ Timothy Bradley or WBC titlist Devon Alexander should the Ghanaian pugilist impress during the two weeks of training and gym assessment.
Bukom Jah who is currently awaiting confirmation of his visa from the US Embassy in Accra to make the trip on Wednesday, already booked on the Delta Air flight, has pledged to prove his mettle and return with a contract for a world title fight.
“I want to appeal to the fans to pray for me because I will not disappoint them and I promise to soon win a world championship for Ghana,” stated the boxer who also praised his Matchmaker Solomon Otoo Lartey for working hard to earn him this opportunity.
