Hearts midfielder Laryea Kingston could face disciplinary action amid claims he called referee Steve Conroy a racist after being sent off in his side's 1-0 defeat at Aberdeen.

The Ghana international was dismissed midway through the second half of the Bank of Scotland Premier League clash at Pittodrie following his second bookable offence.

The 26-year-old had been shown a yellow card for persistent fouling before being ordered off after a high challenge. But he had to be dragged away by team-mate Christophe Berra as he remonstrated with Conroy.

It is believed Kingston, who gestured at Aberdeen fans and kissed his Hearts top as he eventually left the field, was later shown a second red card by Conroy amid claims he accused the official of being racist.

The SFA are likely to hand Kingston an extended suspension or call him before a disciplinary hearing to explain his actions after they receive Conroy's match report.

Hearts skipper Craig Gordon was unhappy with referee Conroy's performance after he cautioned four other Jambos players on top of Kingston, while Aberdeen had no-one booked.

The Scotland keeper said: "Indiscipline isn't helping us but you would have to ask the referee about some of the bookings.

"Maybe one or two Aberdeen players could have been booked as well but there's a difference when you're at home.

"I just said to the referee what I thought. I was annoyed but I was controlled and got my point across."
