Laryea Kingston targets national team coaching role

Former Ghana international Laryea Kingston has set his sights on a coaching job with any of Ghana’s national teams and says his main goal as a coach is to develop and hone talents.

Kingston has after an illustrious career taken to coaching and is gradually shaping his path in the field nicely.

The former Hearts of Oak midfielder has revealed in an interview with Joy Sports that he’s had to alter his coaching objectives along the line.

Kingston says he previously looked at winning trophies as key, but now his primary focus is on talent development.

However the 39 year old says coaching any of the national teams features prominently on his coaching wish list.

He told Joy Sports, “The national team is the main (ambition for me). “Before coming into coaching, my aim was to win trophies. I want to be a coach that will develop players and win games”, he concluded.

Laryea Kingston played for Ghana’s Black Stars from 2002 until 2010 scoring 6 times in 41 appearances.
