Black Stars B head coach Maxwell Konadu has opened up on his team’s preparations ahead of the CHAN qualifiers against Burkina Faso.

The team held their first training session in Kumasi on Thursday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, with 27 players taking part in the exercise.

Speaking to footballmadeinghana.com after the session, Maxwell Konadu explained the late camping has affected his preparation as many of the players he invited earlier have travelled outside the country.

He also revealed the technical team are trying to build an entirely new team before the game against Burkina Faso a month later.

“We called up many players but our uncertainty over as to when to start camping saw many of them travelling outside the country so we had to call up another batch of players to replace them.

“We are building a new team all together, there has been changes in the team that played the WAFU to this current squad that was the reason we pleaded with authorities to let us be in camp earlier.

“We don’t use few days to build a new team, we will start shaping the team from next week when we play some couple of friendlies”

Ghana will face Burkina Faso in the first leg of the Total African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers on September, 26th before travelling to the West African country for the second leg which has been scheduled after the WAFU tournament in Senegal.
