Hearts of Oak new signing Latif Salifu has expressed delight about joining the former African champions.
The 25-year-old has inked a three-year-contract with the 20-time Ghana Premier League title-winners and is expected to herald the Phobians reclaim of glory in their new era.
Hearts beat newly crowned Premier League champions AshantiGold to win the signature of the 2009 FIFA U20 gold medalist and he has expressed his joy at signing for the Phobians.
“There’s time for everything and I think this is the time God has destined for me to join Hearts of Oak and I am happy it has happened. Hearts have been chasing me to join them since I was with Liberty, but Chelsea managed to get my signature back then,” he told Ghana Football News.
“But despite that, I knew that one day I will play for them and thankfully that dream has materialized,” he added.
Hearts have also targeted signing strikers Kofi Owusu and Kennedy Ashia from Berekum Chelsea and Liberty Professionals respectively.
