Le Roy still rates Ghana as favourite

DR Congo coach Claude Le Roy insists Ghana are still favourites to win the 2013 Nations Cup despite holding them to a 2-2 draw on Sunday.

The Black Stars threw away a two-goal lead to share the spoils with the Leopards in the opening Group B fixture in Port Elizabeth.

The four-time African champions missed a unique opportunity to make a strong statement of intent following.

But Le Roy, who steered Ghana to a third place finish at the 2008 Nations Cup on home soil, is adamant the Black Stars alongside Ivory Coast are the teams to beat at the tournament.

""They convinced me. Ghana and Ivory Coast are both good and that is the reason for today's 2-2 draw," Le Roy told MTNFootball.com

"Ghana you know is the best team of Africa with Ivory Coast."
