Legon Cities FC goalkeeper, Fatau Dauda has reiterated that his outfit played a key role in reviving Ghana football.

Following the revelation made in the 'Number 12' video by Anas Aremeyaw Anas, football activities in the country were brought to a standstill for close to two years.

However, following the election of Kurt Okraku as the president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), a mantra of #BringBackTheLove was initiated.

The mantra has been welcomed by many football fans in the country

But according to the former Black Stars goalkeeper, the 'Royals' played a key role in reviving football in the country.

"Legon Cities is a new club in the Premier League after the rebranding but we have been accepted by many football fans," Fatau said during an interview on Instagram.

"Kurt Okraku did very well by calling on the people to bring back the love for football and I think Legon Cities as a club have done very well in this campaign.

"We were bringing musicians to the stadium to entertain the fans and for me, that is very important if want to see the fans at the stadium.

"We did not get things right during the first round but we hope to turn things around quickly when the league resumes," he said.
