Legon Cities' Communications Director, Kwame Dwomoh Agyemang, has revealed that the club plans to extend the contract of their head coach, Paa Kwesi Fabin, due to his alignment with the club's future plans.
Fabin, who signed a two-year contract with the Royals at the start of last season, is now in the final year of his deal. The club is preparing to offer him a new contract following an assessment of his performance.
Under Fabin’s guidance, Legon Cities finished 15th in the Ghana Premier League last season, narrowly avoiding relegation with 45 points.
"I believe that on the back of what he has done, the thing about Paa Kwesi Fabin is that he aligns very much with the plans of the club, nurturing young talent," Agyemang told Joy Sports. "This is something he has done for God knows how long. He knows how to work with young players and get them to a certain level.
"And that's the plan that we have adopted in the last two, three seasons. And he falls within it brilliantly. So we hope that we can continue the relationship."
Fabin's expertise in developing young players has been a key factor in the club's decision to retain him, as it aligns with their long-term strategy of focusing on youth development.
