Defender Yusif Mubarak has signed for Ashanti Gold from Liberty Professionals.

The centre-back completed his move to the Miners a day before the transfer window which ends today.

Mubarak was a key part of the Liberty team last season where he helped them escape relegation.

The strong defender featured all 30 games for Liberty Professionals last season.

He comes in as a replacement for Abieku Ainooson and Richard Ocran who all left Ashanti Gold at the end of the season.

AshGold Coach CK Akonnor saw the 21-year-old as a perfect replacement for the departed duo.
